darling so it goes

I am drafting save the dates and place cards for my cousin's wedding, and I am so thrilled and happy that she asked me. We weren't really close growing up, but now that we are adults, we've become friends, and its always wonderful when you can say your friends are your family and your family are your friends. Her husband to be and his family are great, and they will make lovely additions to our ever expanding clan....They live in the country, and are very outdoorsy, so it has been fun trying to come up with glam woodsy designs. I will post some pictures so you all can see how they turn out.

Anyway, making these items for her wedding, makes me want to make them for my own, even if I've been married in my heart for a long time now. I love my partner with all that I am, and aspire to make them happy in all I do. Love you sweetheart, so much. <3

winter on the air

It's beginning to smell like snow, and that puts me in a Christmas sort of mood. Yes, I realize it is not yet Halloween, but when its this cold, I can't help but think of snow and sugarplums! Christmas is easily my favorite holiday, everything is so bright and cheerful, full of promise. There is this rush to buy/make/give something heartfelt and thoughtful. Of course, all the fun paper crafts I want to make help bolster my excitement!
In addition to the usual Christmas cards, I think I am going to jump on the paper taxidermy wagon and make some cool reindeer sculptures, which will be fun if time consuming. I will also be making seasonal grapevine wreaths and paper chains, so I am going to busy, busy, busy!

I cant wait to share the fruits of my labors!
